Influenced by the author's experience at the U.S. Naval Academy. Former owners' juvenile bookplate, dated 1948, affixed to front free end paper, some fading of cloth along rear edge, a nearly fine copy in a nearly fine dust jacket with mild rubbing to flap folds and corner tips, head of spine panel has a light rubbing and a small nick, spine lettering is a little age tanned.
