First edition. Presentation copy inscribed and dated in 1938 by Coxe to his former Black Mask editor Joseph T. Shaw. Coxe's first contributions to Black Mask were under the editorship of Joseph "Cap" Shaw. This is the fourth Kent Murdock novel. Hubin, p. 194. Some darkening to interior hinges from glue aging with also darkening to outer gutters, a very good copy in a good to very good dust jacket with wear to the corner tips and spine ends, shallow chips to head of spine panel, small closed tear to lower front panel and a closed 15 mm tear to upper left front panel at spine fold, age darkening to edges and spine panel, rubbing to spine fold.
