First published in 1963, this edition is a tie-in for the 1976 film with an image of David Bowie on the cover. Story concerns an alien who comes to Earth seeking to bring his people here as they are suffering from extreme drought. Basis for the 1976 film by Nicholas Roeg with David Bowie, later a made for television film (1987) and a television series (2022). [Reference: Anatomy of Wonder (1987) 3-378].
