Translation of LES CONDAMNES A MORT (1920). A dark novel of the future involving automation and the working class, when the workers go on strike they are eliminated by a death ray. "...far superior to the similar Metropolis by Thea von Harbou". Bleiler: Science Fiction: The Early Years, #701. A near fine copy, previous owner's blindstamp to front free end paper with some fade to edges of end papers, lower front corner shows a little wear, in a very good wrap around dust jacket which has chipping and loss to spine ends, some loss to folds.
