Signed inscription by Derleth to author and anthologist Phil Stong: "To Phil Stong / With admiration and regard. / Cordially / August Derleth." A collection of short stories, part of his "Sac Prarie Saga," set in the Sauk City/Prarie du Sac area of Wisconsin. Partial damp stain to rear free endpaper and last page of text, some patchy discoloration to spine, a very good copy in a very good dust jacket with some color fade of the background ink of the spine panel, some mild edge rubs, mild wear to spine ends with several tiny chips to head of spine panel and damp stain to the verso of the lower rear panel with show through.
