First edition. A novel which takes place in the 1850s, part of his "Sac Prarie Saga," set in the Sauk City/Prarie du Sac area of Wisconsin. A little spotting to covers, top page edges dusty, a nearly fine copy in a very good dust jacket with light edge wear and mild rubbing to front panel, a small closed tear to upper front panel (14 mm) and lower front panel (25 mm).
