Upon returning from WW I, upper class adventurer John Flatchley dons the guise of The Thunderbolt to steal the money from a criminal group that had swindled it from others. He wears a mask with a lightning bolt on the forehead. This is the final story in the series. All first published in DETECTIVE STORY MAGAZINE (1921). Hubin, p. 524. Wear along upper and lower edges and head of spine, lettering rubbed on front panel, gold mostly perished on spine lettering, front hinge cracked, some stain to text, a good copy in a fair dust jacket with the verso of the spine panel stained, aged clear tape to the upper edges, front and back, same to base of spine panel, some creases and closed tears, trimming along edges.
