A Chéri-Bibi novel in which he pursues his enemies through the south of France, Nice and Marseilles. The character was used in a number of films, as early as 1913. [Reference: Hubin, p. 498]. A fine copy in a nearly fine later issue jacket with no printed price, this is part of the Macaulay Popular book series for .75 cents, with a 14 mm closed tear at the upper left front panel at spine fold, tiny tear with crease to upper front panel, 9 mm closed tear at lower front panel, mild wear to spine ends, several small closed tears to lower rear panel, an attractive copy.
