Shoedsack, original blue cloth, front and spine stamped in gold, top edge stained orange. First edition. Inscribed by Cooper on the front free end paper. The account of Cooper and Shoedsack's time chronicling for a documentary film the migration of the nomadic 50,000 strong Baktyari tribe across mountains and rivers searching for grass for their flocks. The trek covered Angora (now Ankara, Turkey), western Persia (now Iran) and Khuzestan. This was Cooper and Shoedsack's first film together and they famously went on the direct and produce King Kong. They were accompanied on this quite famous film, now preserved by the Library of Congress, by the female correspondent Marguerite Harrision.

Janet McKenzie Hill (1852–1933) was a prominent early practitioner of culinary reform, food science and scientific cooking, author of many cookbooks. This is one of several cookbooks she wrote to promote the products of a particular company, this one featuring Procter & Gamble's Crisco.
